Learning complex motions from demonstration
Join us for this session of the PolyScope X Festival, a webinar series where our partners showcase how their solutions built on Universal Robots' PolyScope X platform will benefit your automation processes.
"Teach by example" typically involves recording specific points with simple in-between movements. However, when more complex motions are required for tasks like assembly or surface finishing, programming can be challenging without using many intermediate points or advanced external tools. With the AICA learning from demonstration smart skill, programming complex movements becomes as simple as demonstrating the motion with hand guiding.
Our machine learning algorithm will encode the recording into a dynamic trajectory, which can then be deployed as a program node in a UR application. This allows you to adjust parameters such as start and end positions, speed, or applied force while still benefiting from the initial demonstration.
This user-friendly feature will unlock many more advanced capabilities for your robot.
