Join us March 19th for an educational panel session with welding industry Experts
We have gathered a stellar panel of welding experts for you to learn all about automating welding and to get all of your welding questions answered!
Welding has undergone a substantial transformation with the introduction of automation, most recently through the incorporation of collaborative robots, or cobots. Rather than substituting human labor, the intention behind collaborative robotic welding systems is to support fabricators in enhancing productivity, upholding exceptional work quality, and boosting welder engagement.
By executing welding tasks with unparalleled precision, cobots contribute to uniform weld quality, minimizing the potential for errors that could jeopardize the structural integrity of weldments.
Meet our Panel speakers:
Ton Bos is Managing Director at WeCobot in the Netherlands. With a Technical background in automotive engineering and manufacturing engineering he started WeCobot about 6 years ago. Today they have a team of about 15 professionals. WeCobot has a strong focus on cobot welding. They deliver turnkey welding solutions mainly in Benelux and their WeCobot ONE welding software for UR around the globe. Ton Bos’ motto: #LetsCollaborate
Rasmus Tønnov From is Product Manager at Migatronic in Denmark. Educated with a master’s in engineering psychology, in 2021, he went straight to Migatronic upon graduation. Over the past 2½ years, his attention has been dedicated to examining how Migatronic provides the most beneficial CoWelder solution, focusing to the needs of both current and prospective customers. This involves exploring ways to optimize it for their specific production/workpieces and pushing the current boundaries to discover new possibilities.
Karl Ericsson is Chief Technology Officer at SE Automation in Sweden. His role at SE Automation is to keep pushing what's possible with collaborative robotics, no matter if it is a cobot arm or an AMR. SE Automation strives to help the industry automate the dull, dirty and dangerous tasks by implementing collaborative robotics in all areas.
Silviu Popescu is Commercial and Technical Manager at Electroconex in Romania. From 2002 until today, engineer, then commercial director at Electroconex Echipamente Industriale in the field of mechanization and automation of welding processes.
This panel of experts will be led by UR Welding Segment leader, Will Healy III, who will guide us all through an educational welding session.
Will Healy III is enthusiastic about manufacturing, technology and workforce development. A Purdue University mechanical engineer who loves to share his passion for automation, Will is a global leader at Universal Robots and with the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Partnership (AMIP) in Cincinnati. He speaks from personal experience about people-centric technology investments, managing culture change in organizations, bridging the manufacturing skills gap and creating value through automation. With more than 20 years of experience in a variety of industries including automotive, packaging, food & beverage, metal fabrication, welding and more; Will is widely published, has been a podcast guest & panelist and has presented internationally at a variety of industry conferences. Follow Will on YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn with the handle WillAutomate.
Join us March 19th for a panel discussion with these experts as they talk the challenges and opportunities that come with cobot welding and how it benefits welders and business leaders alike.
